Jeff Montgomery began his career in banking nearly 36 years ago as a teller for his father at First National Bank of Breckenridge. He went on to earn degrees in finance, accounting, and political science at the University of Minnesota, Moorhead. Over the years, Jeff has worked for several regional banks and held numerous positions including loan officer, credit analyst, commercial lender, head of lending and Vice President. Being able to own and lead Vantage Bank has been a lifelong goal realized. Jeff brings a diverse knowledge of banking and finance to Vantage. He has earned a reputation as being a solid and honest leader who strives to create a positive working environment for his staff and customers, and who possesses a sharp business acumen, which is unique in the banking world today. When not working, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife, Bobbi, and their children, Parker and Kennedy. He loves watching all types of televised sports, whipping kids around behind the boat at the cabin, and is a self-proclaimed “grill master”.

Stephanie Stueve, a native to the Alexandria area, graduating from Jefferson Senior High School and obtaining a degree in Business Finance from Southwest Minnesota State University. Stephanie has 17 years of banking/credit experience and has been with Vantage Bank since August of 2012 overseeing Alexandria operations. In her time away from Vantage Bank, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband, Chad, son, Chase, daughter, Avery, family and friends doing a variety of activities including fishing, hunting, reading and cleaning.

Nancy Rice was raised in Alexandria and graduated from Jefferson Senior High School. She then obtained a degree in History with a minor in Business from Southwest Minnesota State University. Nancy has 17 years of finance/credit experience and has been with Vantage Bank since June of 2021 as a Real Estate Lender. In her spare time, Nancy enjoys spending time with her husband, Andy, and their two boys, Paxton and Declan along with other family and friends. She enjoys time on the lake, watching sports, reading and pretending to be an avid runner.

Karen Johnson’s banking career began when she was a senior at Jefferson Senior High School in Alexandria, MN. From a teller/bookkeeping position, she worked into the real estate department and began evolving her skills in loan administration. Karen joined Vantage Bank in 2015 with many years of experience in the industry. Karen’s free time is spent on gardening, various hobbies and time with her family and friends.

Jered Zwiers was raised in the Alexandria area and graduated from Alexandria Area High School. He then attended NDSU and got his degree in Business Management. After college he spent a few years as an analyst in the Fargo area before joining Vantage Bank in the Fall of 2022. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends. He is also an avid Minnesota sports fan, who enjoys watching his teams disappoint him every year.

Misty Tracy, a native of Minot, ND, began her banking career at First Western Bank and Trust in the bookkeeping area, eventually transitioning to the loan department. In 2008, she moved to Alexandria, MN, to be closer to family and worked in a community bank gaining experience in various roles. Misty has been with Vantage Bank since March 2016, as a Loan Processor. Misty is an avid animal lover. She serves on the board of directors for the Lakes Area Humane Society. In her spare time, Misty enjoys spending time with her extended family. Her various hobbies include photography where her 3 daughters and grandchildren are often her subjects.

Stacy Bruss began her banking career during high school when she spent summers working as a teller at a local bank in her hometown of Clarkfield, MN. She went on to attend Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business. Stacy continued her banking career during and after college gaining experience with 2 banks as a teller, customer service representative, and operations associate. Stacy joined Vantage Bank in May 2017 with over 10 years of banking experience. Stacy and her husband Brian have 2 children; a son, Connor and a daughter, Callie. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, and watching sporting events.

Jessica Kappes was born and raised in Breckenridge, MN. After high school, she attended NDSCS of Wahpeton, ND and MSUM of Moorhead, MN and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. Jessica moved to Kent in 2014 just before marrying her husband, Mark, who is a long-time resident of the area. Jessica has been with Vantage Bank since July of 2014 as a teller and looks forward to expanding her knowledge in the banking industry. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, Amelia, as well as family and friends, reading, and baking.

Lisa Miller was brought up in rural Wolverton, MN and graduated from Barnesville High School. After graduating from Concordia College, she worked for 7 years at Firststar Bank in Bloomington, MN in the finance department. She and her husband, Mark, returned to the Kent area in 1997 to farm. Lisa has worked part-time at Vantage Bank since 1999. She also works part-time at Faith Lutheran Church in Wolverton, MN. Lisa and Mark are the proud parents of two sons, Devin and Riley. Lisa enjoys spending time with family, going to the lake, watching sporting events, and walking or snowshoeing in the woods.
