Jeff Montgomery began his career in banking nearly 30 years ago as a teller for his father at First National Bank of Breckenridge. He went on to earn degrees in finance, accounting, and political science at the University of Minnesota, Moorhead. Over the years, Jeff has worked for several regional banks and held numerous positions including loan officer, credit analyst, commercial lender, head of lending and Vice President. Being able to own and lead Vantage Bank has been a lifelong goal realized. Jeff brings a diverse knowledge of banking and finance to Vantage. He has earned a reputation as being a solid and honest leader who strives to create a positive working environment for his staff and customers, and who possesses a sharp business acumen, which is unique in the banking world today. When not working, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife, Bobbi, and their children, Parker and Kennedy. He loves watching all types of televised sports, whipping kids around behind the boat at the cabin, and is a self-proclaimed “grill master”.

Curt Ask

Curt Ask was born and raised in Twin Valley, MN. After graduating from Interstate Business College in Fargo, ND, he began his banking career in 1962, at Dakota National Bank in Fargo, ND. After serving in the Marine Corps from April 1964, to March 1967, Curt returned to Dakota National Bank until 1975. He then was hired as the managing officer of Kent State Bank. Curt has been with Kent State Bank, now Vantage Bank, for 42 years. As the Executive Vice President, Curt brings a wealth of experience to the bank with a special focus on agricultural lending and FSA management. In his time away from Vantage Bank, Curt enjoys spending time with his wife, Sheryl, two children and four grandchildren. He also enjoys golfing, traveling, woodworking and cooking.

Jackie Moen

Jackie Moen was born and raised in the Kent area and graduated from Breckenridge High School. After attending the University of North Dakota, she worked a short time with a financial planning firm in Fargo, ND before starting an 11 year career at the Wahpeton Public School District as their Business Manager. In 1996, she was hired as a cashier at Kent State Bank. Jackie is now the Assistant Vice President of Operations for Vantage Bank in Kent. Jackie and her husband, Brad, are the parents of 2 children and have 3 grandchildren. Jackie loves spending time with her family and friends, going to the lake, quilting, golfing and canoeing.

Stephanie Stueve

Stephanie Stueve, a native to the Alexandria area, graduating from Jefferson Senior High School and obtaining a degree in Business Finance from Southwest Minnesota State University. Stephanie has nine years of banking/credit experience and has been with Vantage Bank since August of 2012 as the Assistant Vice President overseeing Alexandria operations. In her time away from Vantage Bank, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband, Chad, son, Chase, daughter, Avery, family and friends doing a variety of activities including fishing, hunting, reading and cleaning.

Cindy Maanum is a native of Alexandria and attended the Alexandria Technical College after graduating from Jefferson High School. Upon completion of the Finance and Credit Management program, she started her banking career at Bremer Bank in 1977. Cindy started out in bookkeeping and has held positions as a teller, loan support, consumer lender and has specialized in mortgage lending since 1986. This includes all secondary market loan products including Conventional, Jumbo, FHA, VA and First Time Home Buyers along with In House loans for Construction loans, Land loans and Seasonal Property financing. On July 1st, 2015, Cindy joined the Vantage Bank staff. She enjoys helping clients find the mortgage solution that works best for them.

Cindy and her husband, Gary, have 3 sons; Tyler, Riley and Tony. Her free time is spent with family enjoying time together vacationing, golfing and fishing. Other hobbies include walking, wood working and home improvement projects.

Karen Johnson

Karen Johnson’s banking career began when she was a senior at Jefferson Senior High School in Alexandria, MN. From a teller/bookkeeping position, she worked into the real estate department of the bank. Karen’s skill in the loan administration function of the bank has evolved over her many years of experience in the industry. Karen joined Vantage Bank in 2015, as the Loan Process Manager. Karen’s free time is spent on gardening, various hobbies and time with her family and friends.

Misty Tracy, a native of Minot ND, began her banking career at First Western Bank and Trust in the bookkeeping area, eventually transitioning to the loan department. In 2008, she moved to Alexandria, MN, to be closer to family and worked in a community bank gaining experience in various roles. Misty has been with Vantage Bank since March 2016, as a Loan Processor. Misty is an avid animal lover. She serves on the board of directors for the Lakes Area Humane Society. In her spare time, Misty enjoys spending time with her extended family. Her various hobbies include photography where her 3 daughters and 2 grandsons are often her subjects.

Chase Bukowski

Chase Bukowski was raised in Alexandria, MN where he graduated from Jefferson Senior High School. He attended St. Petersburg College in Florida graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. During his last year of college, he moved back to the Alexandria area to intern with Vantage Bank. Upon graduation he continued his employment as a credit analyst. In his free time, Chase enjoys being on the lake, golfing, fishing, hunting, & traveling.

Stacy Bruss began her banking career during high school when she spent summers working as a teller at a local bank in her hometown of Clarkfield, MN. She went on to attend Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business. Stacy continued her banking career during and after college gaining experience with 2 banks as a teller, customer service representative, and operations associate. Stacy joined Vantage Bank in May 2017 with over 10 years of banking experience. Stacy and her husband Brian have 2 children; a son, Connor and a daughter, Callie. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, and watching sporting events.

Jessica Kappes was born and raised in Breckenridge, MN. After high school, she attended NDSCS of Wahpeton, ND and MSUM of Moorhead, MN and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. Jessica moved to Kent in 2014 just before marrying her husband, Mark, who is a long-time resident of the area. Jessica has been with Vantage Bank since July of 2014 as a teller and looks forward to expanding her knowledge in the banking industry. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, as well as spending time with family and friends, reading, and relaxing.

Lisa Miller was brought up in rural Wolverton, MN and graduated from Barnesville High School. After graduating from Concordia College, she worked for 7 years at Firststar Bank in Bloomington, MN in the finance department. She and her husband, Mark, returned to the Kent area in 1997 to farm. Lisa has worked part-time at Vantage Bank since 1999. She also works part-time at Faith Lutheran Church in Wolverton, MN. Lisa and Mark are the proud parents of two teenage boys. Lisa enjoys spending time with family, going to the lake, watching sporting events, and walking or snowshoeing in the woods.
